2019 Doggie Dash

I’m lacing up my shoes for Doggie Dash! And Miss Jazelle and Calypso are already ready to get into the car to help their less fortunate friends. And this will be our eleventh year in a row.

You know how much I love animals. I signed up for Doggie Dash because they need our help! When I first started supporting the Oregon Humane Society, I didn’t realize just how much they did for pets.

You can make a donation at my dedicated page:

Did you know that OHS never puts time limits on how long pets remain at their shelter? What really touches my heart is when two pets go to OHS and are best friends, they stay for as long as it takes to find a loving home together.

A lot of people don’t know that OHS has an onsite hospital. OHS recently cared for an adorable shepherd mix who was hit by a car and received a lifesaving leg surgery.

And when it comes to disasters, OHS is also there to help pets. They even drove a van down to California and took in cats from areas affected by the Camp Fire.

I’m hoping you’ll join me in helping pets from all walks of life. Please donate now!

Thank you so much!

2016 Doggie Dash

2016 Dash Banner

Let’s get some new stuff on my blog.  (It’s been a while – way too long).

Miss Jazelle and Calypso will be joining me in the 2016 Doggie Dash.  Since I am now retired, I am going to participate as an individual this year.

The girls and I are looking forward to this event and the opportunity to help animals in need.

If you can find it in your heart to make a donation of any size whatsoever, please click on this link to visit my personal donation page:

Thanks in advance!

The 2014 Doggie Dash is now History

The 2014 Doggie Dash is now in the history books.  It was a little drizzly at the start, but it cleared up.  Everyone (including all the dogs) had a great time.  This year the Dash exceeded their target of $500,000 with a total of $504,294 donated.  Thank you to everyone who supported Calypso, Miss Jazelle, and me!

Fall Foliage – 2013

This year’s generally dry autumn with warm days and cool nights has brought out some of the best fall foliage that I have seen in the Portland area. The Japanese Maples were just seen when dog walking. The Gingko and Stewartia are in my yard.
