Let’s get some new stuff on my blog. (It’s been a while – way too long).
Miss Jazelle and Calypso will be joining me in the 2016 Doggie Dash. Since I am now retired, I am going to participate as an individual this year.
The girls and I are looking forward to this event and the opportunity to help animals in need.

Thanks in advance!
The 2014 Doggie Dash is now in the history books. It was a little drizzly at the start, but it cleared up. Everyone (including all the dogs) had a great time. This year the Dash exceeded their target of $500,000 with a total of $504,294 donated. Thank you to everyone who supported Calyso, Miss Jazelle, and me!

This year’s generally dry autumn with warm days and cool nights has brought out some of the best fall foliage that I have seen in the Portland area. The Japanese Maples were just seen when dog walking. The Gingko and Stewartia are in my yard.
Jazelle and I busy manning the phones earlier today….
Yesterday was a perfect day for the dash. Both Calypso and Miss Jazelle did the long course with ease. In fact, Calypso was ready to do it again. Didn’t get that many pictures because I was too busy wrangling the pups. 🙂
Haven’t posted in a long while…
Here is a new picture of my new trainee, Calypso (at 11 weeks):
Here are a few pix of the Oregon Humane Society Doggie Dash on 14 May 2011 in downtown Portland.
The river is the Willamette. In the photo with the Steel Bridge in the background, the specks on the lower level of the bridge and on the far side of the river are the fellow “dashers”
